Nongmuay captures Vacant WBC Female 108 lbs belt.

Nongmuay Kokietgym became to the third women world boxing champion of Thailand after she beated 17 years South Korean figther Dan-Bi Kim at Pakchong District in Nakorn Rachasrima Province, Thailand on January 29, 2009.

The 23-years fighter who is a current PABA Women's Light Flyweight titlist used amatuer style to take the points since the opening bell sound. The short stature fighter, Kim, tried to force the Thailader as a racging bull fought with matador. But she was deducted 4 points in round 3, 4, 7, and 9 due to repeated hit Nongmuay's chest with her head. And also she was deducted another 1 point in round 2 because she landed her puch to the chin of the Thailander in round 2.

After 10-round, the official scorecards were read 97-91, 97-91, and 97-91 for Nongmuay. Therefore she captured the Vacant WBC Female Light Flyweight belt as unanimous decesion won over the Korean.

This title was vacated because of Samson Tor Buamad (Sor Siriporn) was promoted to WBC Female Emeritus champion of the world. And Nongmuay should make the unify match with the interim champion of Japan, Naomi Togashi approximately in April of this year.
