Team of WBC Female Light Flyweight title challenger Dan-Bi Kim of South Korea is protesting against the Swiss referee, Franz Marti, who punished Kim by 5 points deduction in her fight with the Thailander, Nongmuay Kokietgym, yesterday afternoon in Nakorn Rachasrima Province, Thailand.
Kim's manager told Thai reporters that he is protesting against the referee to WBC, because his fighter was suffered from 5 points deduction in 10-round championship fight without warning. But Mr. Marti described this whole fight was very bad due to repeated foul from the Korean fighter.
Nongmuay Kokietgym is the ring name of Karnchana Thoongthaisong who is a former SEA Games 2005 bronz medalist in 48-kg division of female. Now her professional record was improving to 7 won on point without lost. She became to a new WBC Female Light Flyweight Queen after won over Dan-Bi Kim of Korea by unanimous decision on January 29, 2009. Her manager and promotor Mr. Kokiet Panichayarom, who is the big boss of Kokeit Group Co., Ltd., wants to postpone her mandatory defense in April with Interim champ of Japan, Naomi Togachi and will make her first opptional defense in Thailand.
