Pornsawan retired, Kompayak replaced for WBC 108 lbs.

WBC# 9 Kompayak Porpramuk who is a current WBC Asia Light Flyweight ruller of Thailand is an opptional challenger of the Mexican champion Edgard "Tun Tun" Sosa, on March 28, at Ciudad Victoria in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

4 days ago NotiFight.com was reported that the fomer 2-time world title challenger, Pornsawan Porpramuk will face against WBC Light Flyweight kingpin, Edgar Sosa, on March 28. But Pornsawan decided to stop his boxing life and opened a small Thai food shop with his wife in Nontha Buri Province. Therefore a his stablemate Kompayak Porpramuk was replaced him in this fight.

A 26-years Kompayak is a former Interim PABA Light Flyweight champion. He captured the vacant title by impressive unanimous decision won over the Filipino Bejie Sollora on October 17, 2003. In early 2006 he dropped the Australian figther Hussien "Hussie" Hussien for 8-count in the first round but finally he lost by corner retirement after round 4 in Sydney.

He won the Vacant WBC Asia Light Flyweight title by KO3 over the RP fighter Larry Mede on November 28, 2006. Kompayak retained his WBC regional crown for the 4th time and all of his challengers was KOed.

  1. is there any realistic chance of Kompayak winning this fight....? I know that Hussein was a bigger fighter so hope the Thai can win this fight...

  3. It's a great fighter, I saw him in thaƮland in his muay-thai gym, but if he want win in Mexico, he should win by TKO! A great challenge..
